This morning I asked Jacob and Ethan to tell me their favorite things about Daddy. Jacob had a whole list of answers and Bubby well all he wanted to do was try to wear his white tiger mask and roar at me. I even tried to speak in tiger...not much response...he just laughed uncontrollably. I did get one answer from him though.
Bubby: " I wike Daddy sing Chicken Fry and we shaka da butt!" We all love to turn up the volume when Chicken Fried comes on. We even have it on video...I need to find the adapter so I can upload it. Reminds me of when my dad used to turn up Alabama and we'd dance in the family room. Oh wait....he just came in and said " Daddy ride da fire truck" Love when you can tell he's really working that brain of his to spit out a full sentence. So cute! His lips pucker out and his brow frowns a little.
Anyways, grab a coffee...here's Jacob's answer.
Jacob:
" I like when Daddy goes bug catching with me."
"I like when Daddy bought me Lizzy."-our new member of the family...a leopard gecko..this is a whole other post;)
" I like when Daddy watches Animal Planet with me."
" I like when Daddy plays baseball with me."
" I like going to Lowes with Daddy."
and ah and ah and ah and ah...... (this is what he does when his brain is working:))
" I like when Daddy plays with me."
"I like when Daddy tells me funny stories about work."
" I like riding in the golf cart with Daddy and eating a hot dog."
" I like when Daddy tells me scary stories."....hmm must be why he's claims to be having nightmares and ending up in our bed.
" I like when Daddy draws me funny faces."
" I like Daddy's hugs."
" I like playing tackle."
" I like to sit at the table and talk about reptiles and stuff." This happens daily....he asks "Mommy/Daddy can we sit at the table and talk about dinosaurs/reptiles/stuff?"...hope we always have these talks...ha!
and ah.....
" I love Daddy. I'm tired of saying what I like:)!"
Well geez you were the one who went on and on. I'd think he would be done and then I'd have to write down another one.
And all of this and so much more is why I love Joe! He does all of this after a long hard day. He has so much compassion for our little monkeys and it melts my heart. We never grow up in this house that's for sure. I wouldn't want it any other way. I'm so proud of the father he has become and really I had no doubt he would be awesome at it. Love you honey from all of us.....Happy Father's Day! We'll have steak and shrimp for you when you get home from work! And maybe a few prizes (as Jacob calls them);)! XO

J's been waiting for me to post this. I thought it fit perfect for today. All the boys practicing at the driving range. Joe, Bubby and Jacob. Do we some future golf pros on our hands?
